About Free Air for Tires
Free Air for Tires helps drivers and cyclists find free air for their tires. Paying $2 to fill a tire is annoying, and Google Maps can show you gas stations but not which ones have free air.
Where the locations come from
We currently list 16,362 locations. Store addresses and hours come from each chain's own store list, collected by the open-data project All the Places (CC0 license). Data last refreshed 2026-10-26.
How we decide a place has free air
- Free here: several independent sources report the chain offers free air at all or most locations.
- Usually free · ask: the chain shows up on free-air lists, but we couldn't confirm a policy. Worth trying, but ask first.
- Sometimes free · ask: the chain sets air store by store (Kroger fuel centers, for example). Many are free, some charge.
- Free by state law: the station is in California or Connecticut, where the law requires free air (with conditions).
Individual machines can be broken, switched off or need an attendant. If a listing is wrong, please report it.
